The force of no public confidence is facing fresh claims it's been wrongly assesing crimes being reported by members of the public due to 'untrained' & 'unqualified' Civillian Staff, leaving many victims denied any access to justice..

Cleveland Police Exposed has uncovered what could be one of the most shocking revelations yet about the chaotic inner workings of a police force already teetering on the brink of being placed back into special measures.

Once again, Cleveland Police – the force of no public confidence – is under fire, only this time for allegedly allowing major crimes on Teesside to go uninvestigated because of unqualified and untrained civilian staff are being used to assess and dismiss reports.

In one particularly disturbing case, a historic fraud allegation was reportedly brought to the force’s attention. But rather than being handled by a trained detective, it landed in the lap of a civilian employee working at the Cleveland Police headquarters in Middlesbrough.

Their assessment? “Advice only to the complainant.” And that advice?

That the complainant should be prosecuted — not the alleged fraudster!

This alarming example is said to be just the tip of the iceberg.

Theres said to be growing fears that Cleveland Police is systematically dismissing serious crimes as “non-officer matters” in a bid to manipulate crime statistics and paint a false picture of progress being made on their part. Whilst official figures may show a ‘reduction’ in crime across Teesside, residents know the reality on the ground is very different — with serious and organised crime spiralling out of control.

It’s not just inaction that's raising eyebrows. Increasingly, its claimed Cleveland Police officers are being accused of aggressive activities against members of the public, with claims of violent conduct on the rise. In one shocking incident, an Acklam man was allegedly set upon by up to six police officers, after questioning why his supposedly ‘uninsured’ vehicle was being seized. He was later charged with obstruction, where just hours later, his car was quietly returned to him— free of charge — raising questions about the legality of the officers' actions and whether any insurance issue existed at all.

Meanwhile, Labour’s Matt Storey, the current Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), is busy delivering what many locals see as 'empty soundbites'. Celebrating his first year in the role, Storey claimed:

“It’s been a fantastic first year and I have relished every moment of meeting our communities… We are making steady progress against my promises, particularly around delivering more visible and effective policing.”
“We’re going to soon have over 60 additional officers, staff and volunteers on the ground… and I will continue to work closely with the Chief Constable to deliver on my plan to get tough on crime.”

But many in Teesside are not buying it.

Behind the scenes, Storey's said to be facing allegations of corruption following his election. At the same time, Cleveland Police is preparing for the swift departure of both the Chief Constable and Assistant Chief Constable, fuelling speculation that the force is once again in freefall.

Local residents have described Storey's attempts to “clean up Cleveland Police” as akin to “polishing a turd.” With public confidence at rock bottom, and Cleveland Police once again under the national microscope, people on Teesside are asking: Just how much longer can this farce be allowed to continue?
